  Quinn Bradford… Nashville, Tennessee, USA

  “Don’t stop… please God, don’t stop.”

It was close. The involuntary clench of her sex meant the mounting approach of an orgasm that had been too long in the making. A good orgasm was what she needed to make this current stage in her life tolerable.

All the tension and strain of building a business dominated by men and large firms had Quinn in knots. Her situation was sad if she would be honest enough to admit it. Her business and personal life needed more adventure, fun, and liveliness by now. Not this daily grind to promote boring events for fledgling cash-strapped clients who couldn't afford to do anything to get real traction.

Quinn needed a win at something, even if it was a single satisfying orgasm. Because God knew it was taking longer to establish herself as a go-to promotions firm that got the big fish. Yes, she was thankful for her life, but it could be way better. Her clients were boring and small potatoes in comparison to what she wanted. There was one bright spot to the terrain that was the landscape of her life, her man. Quinn would finally get some sexual release. It had been far too long. Her fiancé, Craig was back, and momma needed to climax.

“You like that huh? Say it.” The masculine depth of his voice filled the room. It was so damn good to have him home and bed where he belonged.

"Yes. Ooh, you feel so good.”

She was almost there. Quinn prayed she could get to that elusive mountain of erotic bliss before him. Craig was awesome in bed—until he climaxed. Then all bets were off. At first, sex with Craig had been a toe-curling mind-blowing outer body experience. Or, it could have been that before him, she’d only had two other lovers who were dreadful to mediocre. Craig’s cock had hung the moon and seemed dipped in gold and served with the best chocolate. There was no other way to say it, Quinn put up with a lot of Craig’s shit because the dick could be so good.

That’s why Quinn had held her tongue on a lot of things they needed to discuss. After he’d take care of her with mind blowing sex tonight, there’d be time to talk. Tonight was about fun and lovemaking. Climaxing was her biggest concern right now. That was another thing that had bothered her. Quinn didn’t want to rehash that sore spot in their relationship. But, of late Quinn had to finish herself off as he lay next to her snoring. Craig was turning into a selfish lover. She didn’t want to become a push over and taken for granted. Tonight she’d fight for the right to climax.

“Whose is this?” The raggedness of his voice was the voice of doom. He was close. “Q… whose pussy is this?”

  “Yours, baby. All yours.”

Time to make her move. Quinn thrust up, pushing him onto his back. She'd have to slow him down or run the risk of sexual frustration. Craig had been gone to Atlanta for over three weeks. She'd been horny the entire time. This orgasm had been a long time coming, and she planned to come—at least twice.

“Shit, okay then,” he said, going with the flow.

Quinn straddled him and took her time rubbing her sex against him. She’d play the tease and keep him engaged enough for his orgasm to calm back down. One thing about him, Craig was predictable.

“You like that baby?” She cooed, taking her time to re-introduce her pussy to his cock.

“You know I do. Do it—I need to be back inside you now. You’re so wet. I want to fuck you all night long.”

Quinn wanted to laugh at how delusional he was. As soon as he got his orgasm, Craig Bastian would be on his side, turned away from her and snoring. Nope, she was going to make sure she got enough of him to release all the tension she’d been under. Again, she rose. Bending over to kiss him, he gave her a not-so-hot peck. The bastard had the nerve to grab her hips slamming her down and onto his cock.

Well then, so much for her plan.

Quinn began to ride him, trying to stoke the fire within her to gain her release fast. His grasp on her hips increased as he thrust up, faster and faster.

  Not good.

She rose, attempting to swivel to reverse cowgirl. He wasn’t having it. Instead, he took over, pumping into her faster and faster. Instead of gett
ing into a fight with him over his insensitivity in the bed yet again, Quinn met his rhythm and rode him hard. She attempted to chase her elusive climax. Damn, he was almost there.

Craig grunted in time with each thrust. His hand became a vice on her hips. There would be marks tomorrow, she was sure of it. Deeper and deeper she took him, rotating her hips to find that spot that would send her over the edge.

“Ooh, you feel so good,” she moaned hoping to encourage him to slow the hell down. Quinn needed to get to her summit of pleasure.

  “Almost there. Shit!”

I won’t get pissed. I won’t get pissed if he does this shit again. She’d find a way to be all right if he came before her.

Two more pumps and the bastard froze in mid thrust. Quinn tried to move faster hoping to catch even the edge of a climax.

“Stop baby, don’t move.” The huskiness of his voice was the death knell. Craig finished, and she was ass out.

Refusing to keep up a futile effort, Quinn moved off him, falling to the bed on his side. Her body still throbbed with ache and need. She’d take another stab at finishing up in the morning before she went into the office. Sometimes Craig enjoyed a good morning fuck. He was her fiancé. They’d find a way to please each other, she was sure of it.

When the first snores broke the stillness of the dark room, Quinn couldn't fight the spike of anger that assaulted her. This fucker was sleep. Instead of punching him as she wanted, Quinn slid out of bed. In the bathroom, she rambled in the draw of the cabinet to find her extra bullet. Alone, on the edge of the bathtub, Quinn finished herself off. She hated the fact that she couldn't tell her fiancé how much he frustrated more than pleased her in bed of late.

Cleaned up and back in bed, she drifted off into a fitful sleep. The dream was familiar. Fantastic creatures of the sky flew in intricate patterns above her. They beckoned and appealed to her to fly with them. The largest one made its entrance. As usual, it morphed from a gorgeous mythical being to the most alluring man and back again. And, as usual, he played with her, giving her the slip as she gave chase. Quinn would get close only to lose him again to the sky. All the creatures appeared to come in and out of focus as they rode the skies above.

Her body ached and yearned to be with the large beast and the adventure he offered. She struggled to run and keep up with him. Running with abandon, not caring where her feet took her, Quinn followed as the beast surfed the waves of air. It was beauty in motion. She could make out so much and yet nothing concrete. At times, it looked as if he and the other beasts painted the sky with fire. At others, he was before her, a tad out of reach. He was a complete man of mystery. Then she was alone.

This was the part of the dream Quinn dreaded. It always came, like an absolute disappointment. She stirred. The edge of wakefulness tugged at her. Then like clockwork, her bladder began to wail. No… she wanted to stay in bed and go back to that dream. It never came because she summoned it. Instead, when she was not able to submerge herself to appreciate and wallow in it, the dream would come. The wheels of her mind had already started to ramp up with all the things she had to do today.

There was something that nagged at her that wasn’t right. Rolling over to her side, Quinn outstretched her hand, to rub Craig’s chest. Instead of warm, smooth manly flesh, cool sheets greeted her. Wait, Craig had beat her out of bed? That was new. Quinn popped an eye open to see the empty side of the bed. It was still early. Her body clock was still working to meet her routine, but where the hell was Craig? Her intuition kicked in that something was indeed off. Quinn sat up in bed. The dusky hues of early morning peeked in through the slits of the curtains.

Maybe he was making himself something to eat or taking a call in the other room? Quinn got out of bed. Her feet hit the ground, and her bladder wailed in protest. As soon as she answered the call of nature, Quinn was on the move in investigative mode. The condo was quiet, like when she was there alone. Out in the open living area, nothing was disturbed. There was no activity or sign of Craig.

“Craig? Baby are you still here?” She already knew he was gone. Hearing how pathetic she sounded only confirmed her fears. He was gone.

Quinn didn’t know how she knew, but they were over. Craig had left her. Thoughts and memories of the last few months came rushing in. Thoughts she’d pushed back afraid to entertain. All the trips to Atlanta and the phone calls. She hadn’t had Craig—not all him—for a very long time. The last two years and few months they’d dated and became engaged. In that time Quinn saw a slow decline in his interest in her. She’d done what she could—tried to lose weight, tried new sex positions, and held her tongue on things he did to piss her off. Hell, she’d even invested in his new company idea.

  “Oh God—what about that money?”

Quinn needed to make sure she could still find out how to get paid back for her investment. That had been on her agenda to talk with him. Craig hadn’t given her a real or detailed update on his new business venture since getting the loan from her over a year ago. It was her fault for not demanding updates about how the business venture was going. Yeah, dick had made her cuckoo and too lenient.

On the few times she’d made an attempt, he hadn’t wanted to talk about it. After each of his most recent trips, his mood had been downright surly. Instead of talking, he took her to bed, did what he did and then moved on like nothing was amiss. Sex had become the only thing they did together. Even that had deteriorated to hell.

  “Stupid, stupid, stupid.”

Now wasn't the time to beat herself up. She had a business to run and things to do. Quinn hatched a game plan. She'd go to the office, get some new clients and lose herself in work. Quinn went about her morning routine, focused on winning the day. Yes, at the office she'd drown everything out with work. Nothing healed a breakup like staying busy.

After a shower that lasted too long, Quinn dressed. The suite was one of her favorite early autumn suits from last season. She’d wear it one more time before getting new clothes for this season. Nothing said successful business woman better than current season fashions. In her car and headed to the office, the console of the car came to life announcing an incoming call from her bank.

  “Hello?”

“Yes, good morning. May I speak with Ms. Quinn Bradford?”

The pit of her stomach made a run for it, attempting to go out through her back as Quinn prepared for bad news. Her bank was calling. Business had been slow and with the loan to Craig, times had become lean.

Please oh please God don’t let it be anything bad, she prayed. With the day as it was, she hoped the call was another one of the bank’s periodic marketing calls.

“This is she, may I ask who’s speaking?”

“Yes ma’am, this is Sonja Cullens—your local banking representative. Are you in a place where we can discuss a sensitive matter?”

  Shit. It was bad news.

“I’m in the car on my way into the office. I can call you back once I get there.”

“I’d rather speak with you immediately if you don’t mind. Is that all right?” The woman’s voice held a bit of apprehension.

“Sure, okay then. What is it, Ms. Cullens, right?”

"Yes, ma'am. I'm calling to inform you that there is unusual activity on your secondary checking account. So much so, that I received a notice this morning. A major part of your funds from the primary account was automatically moved to cover the overage."

“Overage? What overage? That secondary account is for payroll and not used for most things. I didn’t authorize any withdrawals.”

“Yes, that’s the reason for the call. It appears your secondary authorized signature holder, Mr. Craig Bastian, withdrew fifteen-thousand dollars. Let me see... it was from the account at another branch in the Atlanta area.”

“What, but how? I didn’t put any money into that account for this month yet. How was he able to siphon out fifteen-thousand dollars? That account had a couple of hundred dollars in it?”

  “That is why I’
m calling. When you set up the account, he was listed as an authorized signature. That meant his withdrawal request could trigger your main account to cover the overage.”

“But fifteen-thousand? Isn’t there a cut off before he could do that? You allowed him to withdraw that much on the spot? It’s only…” Quinn looked at the clock on the console of the car and wanted to scream. It was almost ten in the morning. Nashville was only about four hours from Atlanta. If he’d gotten up early enough, Craig would have had time to drive and make it there when the bank opened.

“Your business account is the executive level. Your overdraft limit is one hundred thousand dollars. Since your primary account had enough to cover it, the withdrawal went through.”

“But I still don’t understand. How could he waltz in and request that much money on the spot?”

“Let me see… Please hold on for a moment.”

Quinn pulled into her parking spot in front of the beautiful boutique office park. She loved the place. It even had a charging station for her electric luxury vehicle right in front of the entrance to her office suite. This business location was the place to be for up and coming young business professionals like herself. Her office was the only bright spot in an otherwise dismal period in her life. Other cool progressive amenities helped her portray a certain level of class and success to potential clients. Her suite was one of her best business assets.

As she continued to wait in the car for Ms. Cullens to come back on the line, a flash of doom and loss tore her ability to focus. Everything seemed to be falling apart. It had taken a lot for the leasing company to lease to her and she’d be damned if she lost it, fooling around with Craig.

Ms. Cullens voice filled the car compartment. “I spoke with the banker at that branch who assisted Mr. Bastian.”

  “And?”

“He followed protocol by making the request on Friday.”
